How to get a grade 1 in your CXC Exams!

Here's my recommendation on how to get a grade 1 in your CXC Exams this year.

#1. First up, it is very important that you study. If you do not study, you have absolutely nothing to write in the paper 2 exams. I would suggest that you utilize the REP study method found here: https://toniashlaay.wixsite.com/toni-ashlaay/post/the-rep-study-method-by-toni. It is very important that you use your notes, textbooks and whatever resources you have at your disposal such as Youtube or past papers to prepare for your CXC exams. Studying, along with repetition and memorization helps to cement the information into your brain. Without this, all your studying would be in vain.

#2. Another important tip to getting a grade 1 is to practice past papers. Watch them on Youtube for free or you can find past papers at csecpastpapers.com. These are important to familiarize you with the exam and the structure of how the questions are asked for both the paper 1 and the paper 2.

#3. This often gets neglected but having a good SBA grade is essential. Whether you do an actual SBA or a paper 3 exam, it makes up about 20% of your final grade (varies with each subject). It is essential that you try to get a good group with members that pull their weight, and it is essential that you edit and proofread and also get feedback from your teacher before submission.

So to summarize your grade 1 strategy, you need:

To do well in paper 1 (studying and practicing past papers)

To do well in paper 2 (studying and practicing past papers)

Good SBA grade (done before exam in class)
