Turning 21

I turned 21 a couple of days ago and it really had me reflecting a lot on my life. I've been thinking about my childhood and my teenage years and how they went by so fast. I am officially pushing my early twenties and I was feeling like there was so much that I haven't accomplished and gotten done. One of my family members said something to me that helped to put everything into perspective. Comparison is the biggest theft of joy. Even though everything in my life had not gone as planned or happened how I expected, I somehow managed to optimize the situation. I made use of it. God has just had his hand on my life from the day I came out of my mother's womb. He has blessed me with life and a mind that constantly gets fueled with ideas every single day.

Thinking about God's goodness and everything that I have done in my life, I have to give us some credit. I am 21 years old and I am almost through with my Bachelors degree, I have been to two countries outside of Jamaica: Cayman Islands and the United States, been to nine states in USA, have semi-lived alone for three years on dorm and I was even brave enough to start a Youtube channel. I have done so much and have gained so many experiences that my parents at this age would never even dare to dream of. So my conclusion is that I am not behind. I am right where I need to be for this season of my life. So cheers to chapter 21!
